Hello family! The time has come for us to met again and enjoy each other's company as a family. Denver, Colorado is the destination for 2010, where the home of urban sophistication meets outdoor adventure in the Mile High City. Festivities begin Thursday, June 24 - Sunday, June 27, 2010.
**Changes have been made t the normal Family reunion itinerary as discussed at last year's Wrap Up Meeting. Be sure to review the new schedule.**
We will be staying at the Embassy Suites Hotel Denver Aurora, 4444 North Havana Street, Denver, CO 80239. To make your room reservations, call direct at 303-375-0400 or toll free at 800-345-0087 ext. 134 and ask for the Qualls Family Reunion. Rates are $99.00 a night plus tax for a King Suite or Double Suite. (If you are arriving early in Denver before June 24, contact Ana Lucero 720-587-5089 directly to make your room reservations. You still need to ask for the the Qualls Reunion).
A new tradition has been started with family arriving early on Thursday. We've planned a nice outing on June 24 to Central City from 12 pm - 4 pm. Located 34 miles west of Denver, the town offers more than 30 casinos with over 10,000 Slot Machines, Blackjack tables and Poker Games. The Cost is $20 per adult (no children). Once we arrive at Central City, the $20 will be returned to you.
Friday, June 25 begins the new schedule of events.
Registration is from 4 pm - 5:30 pm.
The banquet is now on Friday starting at 7 pm. This alleviates the Meet and Greet that we normally have on Fridays. Because Arizona and Tennessee hosts came so far under budget for their reunion costs, the Executive Committee decided to pay half of the banquet costs for children and adults who attend the reunion - this year only, so don't miss it!! Cost is $17.50 for adults and $9.00 for children (5-11).
Saturday, June 25 is the main tour from 9 am - 2 pm to Lookout Mountain. Lookout Mountain is a 110 acre park with trails and meadows. It is a wildlife habitat, home to Albert's Swuirrels, Deer, Songbirds, and more. Children 1-3 can take the tour for free, but they must sit in an adult's lap. cost is $11.00 for the bus ride.
Saturday, June 26 is the new day for the picnic, form 3 pm - 6 pm, after the main tour. Once again, because of Arizona and Tennessee's low budgeting, the picnic is free for all who attend!! What better way to end a busy tour-filled day than with good free food! For those who'd like to continue the fun, we've planned to go Roller skating at Skate City from 7 pm -10 pm, after the picnic. Price is $7.00 for children and adults, which includes skate rental.
Sunday, June 27 is Church service, the Wrap Up Meeting, and a Family Brunch. Brunch is $5 per person.
